Maintenance Matters

It is important for everyone to remember that Striper’s Landing is a family community and we all share responsibility in maintaining our property and the condo units as well. Unfortunately, other property owners will often suffer damage as a result of another owner’s irresponsibility when it comes to water and other types of potential condo maintenance issues. Please ensure that you do the following on a consistent basis: 

  1. Change the air conditioning filter of your unit to prevent condensation from collecting and leaking into other units, often causing major damage. Changing your filter also helps your air conditioning unit to run more efficiently and saves you money on your electrical bill too.
    Replace air filters as needed for preventive maintenance.

  2. Check water heaters for leaks and if necessary, replace the water heater. Replacing a faulty heater will save a lot of money and frustration in the long term.
  3. Ensure that there is a sturdy drip pan under the water heater that is properly tied to the drain system. This is an essential maintenance feature of hot water heaters. If the pan underneath your water heater is damaged or has leaks of any kind, it is important to replace it immediately.

Preventive maintenance is much less expensive than waiting until damage occurs, and it results in fewer headaches and problems for all property owners. Please take care of your own property and be respectful of others by taking precautions to avoid water damage or other types of property issues. Maintaining each individual property results in higher property values for each and every condo owner.
